As far as I know only the SUV's got the 10 speed around 2018ish but the calibration file for a SUV doesn't work in a truck. I haven't seen anything done like this on the HP Tuners forums yet.

It's not a matter of what year 10 speed you bought, it's a matter of communication between the PCM/TCM and the rest of the controllers that use vehicle speed to operate the truck.

A GMC Yukon Denali calibration can't be written into a GMC Sierra controller is what I'm getting at. The SUV's still used the E92A and T87A controllers until 2020 I believe but the trucks stopped using them in 2018 because the body style changed for 2019. The BCM's are different between the vehicles as well and that adds problems when swapping transmissions.

The T87A controller can operate the 10 speed transmission but the calibration files for the trucks never used the 10 speed, so no file that I know of exists to make it function.

Yes been done several times. You need to head over to the Facebook group Gen V LTx 14-18 GM Trucks SUV L83 L86 LT1 and look for a post by Sean Hamilton from Feb 1st. Basically he makes a kit, harness, tcm, ecm and tune. You need the doner trans and transfer case as they are different from the 6 and 8 speed trucks.
