23 Trail Boss LT, need trailering camera system/360 view and trailering mirrors like the ones on the HD trucks

I have a backup camera and thats it.  My TB didnt come with the camera/360 view or the trailering app.  It does have a backup camera and the trailering package.  Will a dealer install this system for me and program it?  I have zero intention of doing it myself.  I just want to see what this will cost me. Thank you

As for trailering mirrors, I would like the electric ones that come on the HD trucks (My dad has a 3/4 silverado LTZ crew cab diesel with the trailering mirrors).

You don't NEED it, you WANT it. Just ask the dealer, some may and some may not, only your local dealer will tell you not some guy on the other side of the country.

I do need it as I trailer.  It makes it safer which means my family is safer, which means to me its needed.

Secondly, perhaps someone has had it done and maybe had a price estimate?  It was a reasonable questions.  No need to be mean on here.

Go to the dealer for pricing and install info. Sounds very expensive!

There was only one trail boss in the three states around me with the engine i wanted.  Hence why no options as above.

My guess is you are looking at $5k or more. Your going to need, a new HMI module with all the ports, all the harnesses, and the hardware/cameras and finally programming and calibrations (IF GM even makes conversion kits, which I have not seen on any GM parts website). For reference the invisible trailer camera system is over $500. I am guessing you will be hard pressed to even find a dealer willing to install this stuff.

 

You might as well just trade this truck in for a higher tier that has these options.

People have done this on 2019-2022 before the 2022 refresh.  Those that have done it, its NOT cheap.

 

The refresh brings a whole new host of issues as many things have changed electronically.

 

Dealer can't help you as GM has no available upgrade path for this.

 

You'd be better off trading in for what you want instead.
