That doesn't work - maybe it did decades ago.  I was hopeful but they just cheaped out and its a real shame.  I've been pretty disappointed with my truck compared to my previous Ford Raptor.  The underseat storage is just WAY too small.  I might change it out.  I like the tailgate deal where I can step in closer to get stuff out but other than that I've seen little benefit.  My lightning was a lemon so I sold it back to ford and was so mad at ford I went GM just as an FYI.

Are you saying that the double pull on the rear doors doesn't work? I don't really believe that. I get the feeling that your never going to be happy because its not a Ford, even though the truck is operating as its supposed to.

I might not be happy with this truck, however without a doubt the double pull doesn't not work and I'm not lying about it because the rest of the truck lacks features from the previous 4 model years (where is the electric tailgate that was available?!)

It is operating as it is supposed to and that's my problem!

Have you taken it to the dealer and done warranty on it? If not you need to create a list and schedule an appointment with your dealer. If something is not working as it should (the doors on all 6 of my GM vehicles since 2015 model year open with two pulls including my refresh 22) then you should give them an opportunity to fix it. Other features you may just not have, whether that was the salesman lying to you or just not knowing what he was talking about; that was on you to test or investigate before purchasing the vehicle. I don't know what to tell you besides to look at your RPO codes and figure out exactly what the truck has and doesn't have and to read your user manual to familiarize yourself with how the features of your truck operate.

As for electric tailgate, are you referring to the automatic lift and close because thats not a standard feature on any trim level (and probably because you have the multiflex tailgate) but part of a specific package which your truck might not have been equipped with. As for any of the radio glitches, make sure your software is updated. If it is and still doing funny stuff, no one on these forums is going to be able to help. Add it to the warranty list and let the dealer investigate and fix.

Double pull from the INSIDE not from the outside! The buttons on the door handles unlock the back doors from outside the truck

Posted

I want to be able to unlock the back door from the outside, when approaching the vehicle to put things in the backseat first.  The button is GONE on the back door handles.  An either cost-cutting matter or supply chain shortage excuses considering the 2019's had the buttons on the back door.

I have see the RS models that had the power tailgate in previous years.  Not the denali?

You can change in vehicle settings what the button does on the handle you can set it to unlock all the doors at once that's the way I have mine

i want to NOT go to the front door first guys.  I should have to with an 80,000 truck.  The back doors should have a button to open them its 2023

My previous response was because I also thought we were discussing unlocking from the inside.

    • Not sure about DFM tech but i know there's a stop/start deactivation button.
    • I could be interested if they axed cylinder deactivation and at least have a button for stop start. I’m sure the HP numbers will be higher. I would want a longer warranty to help build confidence. I’m a less is more guy as I get older. A V-8 work truck model would be my choice. I know a few outfitters for custom additions I prefer.
    • It's official. GMC pulled the covers off the next-gen 2027 Sierra 1500, and we got the first official look. Full breakdown here: https://www.gm-trucks.com/next-gen-2027-gmc-sierra-1500-v8-trim-changes/   The quick hits: SLE and SLT are dead. The new core retail trim is just called "Elevation". Two new V8s, a 5.7L and a 6.6L built with high-performance Corvette architecture roots. No horsepower or torque numbers yet. The 2.7 TurboMax finally ditches the old gearbox and gets the 10-speed automatic. AT4X moves to larger standard 35-inch tires with front and rear e-lockers, Multimatic DSSV dampers, and heavy-duty Jounce Control Dampers. Over 60 inches of combined display on Denali Ultimate and AT4X, complete with a motorized articulating center screen and an adaptive passenger screen. Seven simplified trims across the entire model line to clean up ordering confusion.   So let's get into it: New 5.7L and 6.6L gas V8s with custom active exhaust tuning and a Corvette connection. Is this the exact engine lineup half-ton traditionalists have been begging for? Purging the iconic SLE and SLT names after all these years to lean entirely on Elevation as the high-volume core. Bold move, or a mistake? That motorized articulating 16.3-inch screen that slides up to reveal a hidden dashboard vault. Awesome mechanical theater, or does it make you nervous about long-term durability? Physically lowering the headlamps in the front fascia to improve road courtesy and stop blinding oncoming traffic. Smart real-world engineering, or does it hurt the truck's aggressive stance? What trim are you putting your name down for on day one? Drop your first impressions below.
    • My overnight hospital stay turned into five.  I developed a post operative fever and an erratic  heart rate.  A blood clot in the lungs was the culprit.  This is apparently a common post surgical complication and easily remedied.   I was the youngest in a four bed ward and a Doctor with a Geriatric specialization was in charge of my care.  All of the nurses were good and some were outstanding at dealing with old people.  It was very evident that my age triggered a different level of care!  My advice to any senior going for a hospital stay is to have a trusted family member advocate visible.  If not, you will still be well cared for, but you may discover that your voice  isn't as strong as it once was!
