Need new 6.2 L86 Engine...but indefinite backorder???

Need a new 6.2 L86 engine for my 2017 escalade. Ordered from Local dealer on Dec 15th 22. Now 3/22/23 and they said today it would be pushed until august. Started as 3-4 weeks, then to march, now till august. Any end in sight? Does anyone have any sight? This is ridiculous!

I do not. The service writer and service manager said they are like the holy grail. They have been trying to locate one for months for a customer.

Have you thought about getting one from a low mileage wreck? One that was rear ended or hit on the side, not a head on.  You could also get the accessories, water pump etc. that have a lot less mileage than yours. It would be much more cost effective and much better than a rebuilt one.

Everyone made is committed to the production lines.  Base engine in the Escalade and Yukon Denali and those vehicles are hard to find.
