Can the injectors stay in the head when replacing lifters?

Doing the passenger side lifters and want to know if the the injectors/rail can stay in when removing the head? Id rather not have to remove the injectors and risk damaging them if its not necessary. Thanks.

I believe so, I don't think the injectors or the rail are blocking any of the head bolts.

Thats what I thought, but the videos I've watch show people removing the injectors. Just seems like an unnecessary risk to me.

Would love to hear from someone with direct experience leaving the injectors in the head while removing. Hope everyone is having a good weekend.

If you are changing both banks the injectors can stay in the heads. When we are changing one bank for warranty the injectors and rail on the remaining head  must come off to get the VLOM out.

I know it's a few days since the question, but if you haven't finished this yet, it may be a good time to remove the injectors and have them cleaned and flow checked.
