Transmission Locked Tonight

2020 1500 with 8speed. 95k miles

 

Stopped a a stoplight tonight and when the light turned green, I had nothing. Truck wouldn't move. Put in Park, then back to neutral...couldn't push it or move it. Turned it off and back on. Nothing. All locked up. Anyone else suffer this fate? Had it towed to a dealership...hoping they honor the lifetime drivetrain warranty it came with. I'm sure I don't meet some sort of requirement.

Lost my transmission with 30000 kms on it.  Check engine light came on while driving at highway speeds.  Heard bearing type noise at back of engine area where trans meets.  Oil pump failure.  They decided to put new trans instead of repair.  Had wait 5 weeks for dealer to get one due to shortage.

Probably a junk torque converter failed and wiped out the pump.

Was listening to someone couple days ago talking about their issues on their High Country, 6.2L, 10-speed locking out on him numerous times. Dealership could never replicate it. So the fix for him was disconnecting the negative cable for a few minutes and reconnect. It would then get back into gear and start up.
