I have an 05 4x4 silverado 1/2 ton with the 5.3. Transmission went out but I have another 4l60e with the code 9TAD. I read on another forum that it will work but I have to use the torque converter for the 9TAD 4l60e. Will it work in my truck and is the other forum right about the torque converter?

  OK, that really helps. My 6.5’ bed HC sticker says 1,359 lbs., didnt see that small print. Subtract me and some stuff, gives me about 1150lbs. So based on Google for hardwood (1500-2000 lbs), I’m making 2 trips for the 1/2 cord. Problem solved, thanks.

  I went to Home Depot last week and experienced an upgrade push. Unfortunately, since then the Auto start/stop no longer works which frankly is no great loss. However the loss of the front bumper sensors has me concerned, as I had other computer problems a month ago with the fuel gauge and cruise control failing completely. Had to take it to a a dealer in NC for repairs.
