Hello all, just got a 2024 3500 dually gas truck to haul my slide in camper. I sold my previous lbz duramax and kept the cts3 to use in this truck. Was hoping to see the transmission gear selector and othe things. It does not work at all and edge tech support said it is not supported. Just passing on info, cause I could find it when I searched. Only 150 miles so far, so nothing to report other than it sure is a nice truck. The payload is huge.

Man, timely info! I was just contemplating the CT3 over the ScanGaugeIII... now you made my decision easier.

Glad you like the gas truck!

Yeah SG can show the gear youre in with other vehicles but not in our trucks. Sounds like it’s the same with this edge one.

Maybe a dumb question but why the concern to see what gear you're in? My current truck has a 6 speed and I frequently put in manual mode to keep it in 5th gear or less depending on conditions. From what I've read, the Allison 10 speed in the current 2500 and 3500 trucks has 7 gears that are not OD. Put it in manual mode and select the highest gear you want to run. Am I missing anything?

Yeah, I knew SG3 couldn't show gears, but I hoped the CT3 could. Definitely no reason to spend another $200+ on the Edge unit.

Not missing anything other than gear curiosity from me at least 🤣

The SG3 CAN show your gear, but not in our trucks. If the vehicle supports it, it can display it. It all depends on what the vehicle has available for the SG(or edge) to read and display.

Yep! Understood the limitations are with GM truck communications, not the obd reader/display. I miss the LLY and LBZ days of old 😢

Being as I already own it, I think I will wait for a while to see if they get support for it. Tech told me it may work on 2023 models, but did not know.
