Trade 2023 High Country 2500 OEM 20" tires/wheels for 18"?

Anybody in the mountain west (Colorado & nearby states) wanting to trade their 18" tires/wheels for 20".  We just got our 2023 Silverado 2500 High Country and being "old, fat & cripple" retired, we're more interested in more sidewall on the tires= supposedly better ride when empty and not pulling camper.

had a 2020 and 2022 LT 2500 with 18in rims and now own a 23 H.C. with 20s, don't notice any difference in ride quality.....also drop air pressure when not hauling heavy.....the tire is big enough and has sufficient sidewall imo, when they wear out I will bump it up a bit and get more sidewall.....see no reason to change out 20s

 

 owned T1 halftons with both sizes and could feel the difference in those trucks......FWIW

Trading to 18” will get you steelies. That’s what I have. I don’t think they make a fancy chrome or aluminum 18” currently as an option on these trucks??

both GMC and chevy have 18" options for LT/LTZ (same wheel) and SLE.....the GMC not a fan of the chevy 18s look decent...17" is their steely version

Oh ok that I didn’t know. My truck has the 18” steel option.

If you have 18 or 20 inch wheels you have this steel wheel for your spare.

If someone has 20’s wouldn’t they need a 20” spare? I have my same wheel for the spare yes.

WT gets the 18 am assuming, I probably have a 20" steel as my spare just never looked

Lower your tire pressure when empty.  55-60psi.  You are only going to gain 1/2" of sidewall height which won't make all that much difference.  The ride is due to the suspension.

100% single best thing for comfort in HD truck....i run @ 56-57 psi and TPMS doesnt go off either, my LT 54 was too low and sensors would go
