Trans thermostat included in Powertrain warranty?

My trans hits 240F towing. I’m still in Powertrain warranty on my 2020 5.3 8-speed Silverado at 43000 miles. Does anyone know if the thermostat is covered by Powertrain Warranty? It is external, but bolted to trans case. I know cooler and lines are not covered.

If you are not towing over the recommended towing limit for your truck (found inside the drivers door jam). The thermostatic bypass valve needs to be replaced if you are hitting 240F. The original Powertrain Warranty is 3 years 36.000 miles so you should be out of warranty.

Did it give you a DIC warning for transmission temperature? 

 

Pulling against a big grade or very strong headwind?

Pretty much level Michigan I75, 65mph. I just got my truck back from the dealer. Estimate to replace TBV, trans filter, and fluid flush & fill. Ready for it? Drum roll please… $2285! I passed.
