I want to know what you guys and gals want out of this site!

In what places are we lacking? What should we continue to do?

Are there any forum ideas that you would like to see?

Also, what do you think we can do to get the word out about this site, and to help membership skyrocket?

We are already the best, i just want to be the best with no questions about it!

geez Mervz, you guys do such a great job already, it's hard to come up with something off the top of my head!

In terms of more exposure, I expect you've tried other sites, but some allow free banners - just a thought - I'll stew on it more.

Keep in mind this is just a suggestion, but here goes. How bout every new member gets a GMTrucks.com window sticker after so many posts? (I am STILL waiting for mine )

I know I pay attention to that kind of stuff in the parking lots and such....

As for the site itself, you guys are doing a great job! How bout some more smilies??? ;)

P.S. - how bout giving me a job, that would improve the site

For some reason, it takes FOREVER for this site to load on my computer. I don't know if it is just my computer or what, but I can open up hotmail and be halfway through reading my second or third e-mail before it loads. Other than that, the site is great!

We are pretty much the only Full Size GM site that offers everything, such as the forum and site. The decal thing after so many posts sounds like a plan, I know I notice everyones decals in parking lots and setting in traffic too! I have no problems with site speed but a friend of mine who I got to join here says that the site is SOOO Slow, and he is connected way faster than me, I am only connected at 24000bps!! The only thing I can figure out about this is that I may have a lot of the site and stuff in my cache or something????

Allow a pic storage area of maybe 1mb for each member with over a certain number of posts. (for some reason 700 posts sounds good to me). This would allow an on-site pic post and maybe an avitar without each person having to have their own site.

Actually Mark, if anyone wants to do this they can feel free to drop me an email w/ the pics and I will gladly host them on my site for them as a favor for Zane and Josh since they are busy keeping the site up and running.

Nah, I stick all that stuff on my truck site which is hosted by a different company. I don't want to waste space on your server with all of it

I know this would be a lot of work (which is why I'm not going to volunteer for it...), but what about a section with the history of GM Trucks....something that has some pictures and year by year info on what the trucks looked like, what engines were available, significant options, etc.? It would probably take quite a bit of research/writing (or stealing from others who may have already done this ).

As for giving free stuff for a given # of posts, wouldn't that just encourage post-whores? I'm not going to name names here :cough:jon:cough: (j/k) ;)

Set up the member section so you can search for a member by the first letter/number in their user name. That will make it easier to find a members profile if needed. It's a biatch getting to a members name when they fall in the middle section of the alphabet when you can only go a couple pages at a time, even when setting it up to show 30 names per page.

Im with DuckhunterInTN this site takes a long time to load. It might be my computer but I can go to other sites and it never takes as long as the place. Im not sure if anything could be done but thats the only thing I can think of right now.
