Airbag light continuously flashing with no codes

Hi,

 

We have a customer with 2008 Silverado 2500HD LTX Crew Cab with Duramax where the Air Bag light is continuously flashing with no fault code.

 

Timeline:

- Airbag light was on

- Checked the Airbag module under the seat and it was very corroded

- Replaced Airbag module with new module (p/n 23369684), which has been coded to trucks VIN

- Airbag light now flashes continuously. We have checked with Tech 2 scanner and there are no codes.

 

Any suggestions?

The SIR module requires a set up routine after sps programming. Was it done?

It hadn't been done, but I found a YouTube video that showed the extra step and we tried that this morning and it has fixed the problem.
