Hello;  I am new to this forum and have a couple of questions please.   I just bought a new GMC Sierra Denali Ultimate pickup and have put a little over 500 miles on it so far.  I looked through the owners manual to see when to take it in for the first service and could find no information in the owners book.  Can anyone out there tell me when to take it in for the first oil/filter change? (Miles wise).

Also can anyone tell me how to "Link" my APPLE IPOD NANO to the bluetooth in the pickup so it will play my music from the ipod through the pickups sound system?  Again, nothing in the manual at all.

Thank you so much for your help.

You could go by your oil life monitor and change it around 7,500 mi or so or you could make your own decision to change it early, say, 1,000 miles or so. Or anywhere in between. It’s ultimately your choice. Do what you feel is best. Most of us who plan to keep our trucks change it early.

Thanks so much for the prompt reply.  The ipod nano situation also has me puzzled.

You could of course plug it in via usb cable but not sure about setting up wireless connection

You probably just have the 'essentials' paper manual.

You can download a pdf of the full Owners Manual  from one of the GM sites

I did my first two oil changes at 5000kms just to get any break in junk out. Didnt let my truck idle, and put a load behind it as often as i could. Even towed a skidsteer around when it wasnt needed.
i just rolled over 40,000kms a few weeks ago and fuel economy has gotten better, even with winter diesel up here in Saskatchewan. I have a Banks idash for monitoring and regens have gone from 900kms-1000kms between regen to 1200kms - 1350kms now.
might be a coincidence but seems like it all happened at 40,000kms.
i also change my fuel filter at every 10,000kms regardless what the monitor says, engine oil and filter also at every 10,000kms with rotella t6 5w40.
like anything, good maintenance yields a good truck.

iPod nano is not, as far as I remember, Bluetooth capable. Definitely not WiFi capable either.

Your only option is hardwire as Auxilary source.
