Have you had any issues with your 2.7? I’ve only heard of a few with that kind of mileage so far.
OP, I haven’t read anywhere that carbon buildup is an issue. Just make sure to use top tier fuel. They claim that it’s better than non top tier. I’m not sure about that considering my FIL has delivered fuel for years and said it’s all exactly the same.
It's raining on and off today, but I was able to change the rear oil and cover before it started. I ended up getting the Amsoil 75W85 for the front, 75W90 for the rear, and the right fluid for the transfer case. I wanted a cover with a drain, so that's pretty much the reason for the aftermarket one. I have a Roadmaster sway bar and had to fabricate 1" spacers for clearance, so that might be helpful if anyone has that on their truck and considering the cover swap. Old oil had 60,000 miles and just the slightest metal fuzz on the magnet; everything looked super nice. Fourth pic is just to highlight the spacers to accommodate the cover. Those bags sure make it easier than the old siphon guns.
I haven’t heard of any with that kind of mileage yet. I’ve heard of several with over 100k miles with no problems. Looking forward to others chiming in.
Wow. If that's true it would explain why nobody's getting back to me. I just saw the 2027 today. I don't like the new front end. The headlights are butt ugly. Well, I guess I keep that ~$40k or so in the bank. Should buy a ton maintenance on my '14 for now. Not what I want, but knew this might be a long shot.
Ive been a chevy man for 55+ years now and I'm probably on my last truck.
i bought a 2021 Silverado new with the 2.7 turbo. great truck and i like the 4 banger, a lot of power, surprising.
Ive read that 200,000 miles is the lifespan and im hoping thats BS.
i also have read the newer v8 engines are having issues like blown engines, top end frailer
im wondering if anyone has heard of a 2.7 with more than 200,000 on it
