Parking brake not staying down

So my 2018 GMC sierra 1500 parking brake has disconnected from the ratcheting wheel that locks it. Not sure how to put it back but it looks like this.....

Best bet is to find someone who is parting out a truck and check it out.

On my 2008, it was a non-serviceable part, whole unit had to be replaced.
