2023 Sierra SLT 1500 taillight UPGRADE to 2024 Sierra 2500 HD

Just bought a set of 2024 Sierra 2500 HD taillights was wondering if anybody on here has done this conversion yet, the plugs are different and I don’t have the harness to the 2024 lights. I have talked to a guy that sells an adapter to make them work with the 2023 harness but it’s like 300$ will keep yall posted on this, (will be selling these once I buy a set of 2024 AT4 2500 HD taillights looking for the ones with the clear lens ) also selling my factory LED Denali/SLT taillights too

Ordered my harness should be here in a bout a week, can’t wait to test them out and get rid of these regular Denali tails.

So I got my custom harness (280$) for the taillight but I didn’t have the OEM harness for each taillight (ordered off ebay for 77$ for the pair) dealer wanted 125$ each harnesses 

 

custom harness below plugs to the body harness and OEM harnesses plug to the custom harness , the yellow goes to the power wire on trailer plug

here’s the OEM taillight harness order 2 below

thought I had everything but was missing the taillight harness’s

Finally got them installed yes they fit without modification, so have a minor issue when turn signals are on and pressing the brake they start to hyperflash, when I release the brake ped they flash normal. Dude is gonna check his wiring and check my wires via the vin from my truck and let me know something here tomorrow hopefully

are these a switch back type of light, amber when the signal is used and red when braking

I was told I would need a software update from the dealership, for a box delete like the flat bed trucks have that require aftermarket style taillights. I did call the dealer and that update is 199$ but I’d have to leave my truck at the dealer for few days. Haven’t had time to do it. Was told the update would take about a hour to do but the lead time is two weeks before they could get to it.

These lights are bright af, definitely  complement the truck for sure. Here’s a few night shots.

Those look great on your truck. Definitely make the rear stand out. I have the same harness you got but am trying to find some taillights for a reasonable price.

I have a 2024 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali.

 

Will I need any of the harnesses you mentioned in order to install the 2500 HD tail-lights on my Sierra 1500?
