Has anybody else noticed increased turbo noise (on acceleration but especially when letting off the accelerator) with a 3.0 duramax (I have a 2024 at4x)? I hadn't used sport mode, so decided to check it out after getting a few hundred miles beyond the 500 mile break-in period, and even with light throttle then letting off, I'd hear the "woosh". I thought it might be artificial so rolled down the window, and it's definitely coming from the turbo.

I'd read about the throttle response, transmission, and steering changes, but never about this. I tested it a few times and perhaps it's just due to the transmission map, but it was noticeable even at lower speeds. Does anybody else hear this, too?

I've only used Sport mode a couple times and never really paid any attention to this.  I'll have to try it out again and see if I hear anything.

I'll be curious to hear your feedback! It was noticable for me even without the passenger window down, but even more so with it rolled down. Try accelerating mid-throttle at 30mph to 50mph or so, then let off.

No difference.  My guess is since you passed 500mi you've tipped into the skinny pedal more and are hearing more turbo.

Try accelerating at mid-throttle from around 30 mph to 50 mph, then let off.

Circling back, I definitely do hear it in non-sport mode, but driving in sport-mode you hear it more frequently because of the shift pattern change/throttle response. If you get on the accelerator aggressively in non-sport, you still do hear it. Thanks for all those who responded!
