Diff drop spacers don't fit on drivers side

Purchased a diff drop spacer kit for 2-4in lift. Received 1in spacers and hardware. Passenger side went pretty smooth.

 

Drivers side there isn't enough room for the one inch spacer. Diff is hitting the crossmember. 

 

Ugh... Am I missing something?
