Oil pressure test

Was wondering if I can install a mechanical oil pressure gauge where the factory pressure sensor is

What vehicle?

 

Anything built in the 21st century will require an adapter so that you can use the mechanical gauge but still retain the factory sensor.

 

On 2007-up models it'll set a hard fault if missing and might even trigger limp mode (not sure on that since I never tried). Hard to find and not cheap. I have the measurements in my notes somewhere ...

EDIT 2: Last time I bought one it came from Australia, since there were none to be had in the states.
