Thinking about picking up a 94 with a 350 under the hood & 190km on her.
What should I be keeping an eye out for?

Rust, fender rust, rocker rust.

 

Check for oil leaks, rear main and oil pan always leak. Check the spray pattern on the TBI injectors, if they drip while it's running at idle, they need to be replaced. They should be a steady cone spray with no drips.

 

Otherwise check all the suspension. wheel bearing play, tie rods and ball joints. Taking to a shop for an inspection isn't a bad idea.

Also inspect the frame for rust through spots, the top of the fuel tank rusted through on those trucks as well as the brake/fuel lines. If it's 4wd make sure it works and there is oil in the TC
