nevermind....

I was going to post a link, but then I seen your truck......eww man I think you have too MANY add ons to your truck as it is... :(

Easy killer!!

Kevin,

LarryE or Larry on this board did all his interior stuff himself I believe. Maybe he will post with a reply! For the plastics, if you wanna do them yourself. Sand them out real nice, prime, paint and clear. Or take it to a pro and let them prep and spray the stuff. That way if it doesnt look up to par you can take it back and complain. For some of the plastic parts it might be a good idea to add some flexative before you paint them. Help keep the paint on the plastics.

sand sand sand.... sand sand sand.. sand your hand off... sand your hand off.

:(

Just sand till your hand bleeds man if you want it smooth.. then clean with alcohol, or acetone, or plastic cleaner from ppg/dupont..

then use an adhesion promoter.. ppg/dupont/spray can from any auto parts shop.

Next primer then wet sand then paint..

For the front pieces a flex agent added to the paint will help keep it from chipping from rocks because it will give it some give in the paint.

then clear.

I can deal with the rain guards but the bug catcher and running boards are awful man.. just my opinion though and it's not my truck.. the bug catcher will fade the hood over time so it'll ruin the paint.

thanks guys I will have to see if the stores in town carry the paint for plastic.

I Have to agree with you on the bug deflector, I never did like it, it was not my decsion. I can take it off i have a film from 3M on the front 4 inches on the hood to protect from rock chips (a lot of bigger rocks in the salt/sand for the winter).

As far as the running boards, the dealer did not line them up correctly (once again i had no input as this truck was a surprise to me) and i like the boards, i don't have to look at an ugly frame and it gives the truck a lower look.

I was thinking of putting a twin scoop hood from tbyrne, and different door handles they will be painted or the new billet ones from stylinconcepts. of course i want 20's and the truck to be lowered and bagged. a long list to go for interior and engine upgrades.

one last ? what do you guys think of the ext. cab window covers i was thinking the triple bowtie ones.

Thanks reading :(

I have fallen into the same trap. My truck is starting to grow appearance add-ons and I'm suddenly wanting a simplified look. If it were not for all the wild critters and deer where I live, I'd even remove the brush guard.
