So my check engine light came on my 2022 Silverardo 2.7 about 2 weeks ago.  Put the code reader on it and P2CBB fan 3 underspeed came up.  45K on the engine.  Took to dealer to have it checked out last Friday.  They did some reset on  the software for the fuel injectors due to a recall of some sort.  Now the check engine light is off.   I have not had any overheating or any other issues  Should I let it ride for now or have the cooling fan replaced?

There are 3 fans and I don't know which one to change out if I decided to do it myself.  The dealer wanted 1600 to replace the cooling fan and I said no.  Drove it home.  Light has been off for 3 days now.  Has anyone else had any experience with this?  Thanks in advance for your advice.

I'd let it ride.

I'm not surprised by the price they quoted you as removing that 3 fan cooling module is some work.  Book time is around 9 hours plus the time to evacuate and recharge the air conditioning refrigerant to do the job, so there is another hour on an R1234yf system.

Gotcha.  Looks like it could be a big job.  The light is out now.

Wow my 2023 just got the same code while coming from Georgia to Florida. 54k miles on truck. I cleared the code and will call the dealership tomorrow

? clearing the code isn't a great idea if you want the dealer to fix the problem as a warranty repair, as they are more likely to check/fix things if there is an actual code present.
