upgrading camera system

I just bought a 2024 2500HD Duramax. It currently has just the backup and trailer hitch camera. Does anyone know what would be required to upgrade to the multi camera. I found find multi camera control modules really inexpensive on eBay, just not sure what else may have to change. Is it as simple as replacing the original control module (likely need to be programmed to the vehicle) and installing the desired Camera. I know of aftermarket systems but they are "clunky" to operate.

Has anyone done this?

I think the challenge you are going to face is getting a dealer to agree to program modules that are not part of your original build sheet. I don't think they are allowed to, and the most likely won't (or can't) program used modules.

Your truck may not have the wiring for the other cameras. My 2020 2500hd silverado didn't come with the bed camera. Checked with GM about adding it. The original build sheet showed that it was suppose to have it. But during the build, it got deleted and the wire harness wasn't added. Now if I want it, Etrailer has a kit goes in with the rear camera and I can switch between the two.

really want to get these options when you purchase, so much easier......kinda sucks the onedudes got deleted during the build....am sure the credit wasnt what it costs to add one now

At Etrailer it's $600 plus for the kit.
