Anyone else using Android Auto with these trucks?

Anyone else using Android Auto with these trucks? Does it work for you?

 

Reason I am asking is because when I try it either wired/wireless with my Pixel 4XL (Android 11), it completely freezes up the infotainment. The only way to shut down/reset the infotainment is to unhook the car battery. Told the dealer, they claimed a they heard a few people were having issues with newer phones. Not sure, but android auto works just fine on my 2019 Nissan Rogue with the same phone. Checked for updates on the infotainment, and even factory reset the infotainment and completely wiped Android Auto on my phone to verify issue.

I use it in my 2024 Silverado HD. It's hit or miss as I can seem to see if the phone is connected just by looking @ the dash, iso there an icon? I know if I remember to look @ my phone's notifications, I'll see 'Android Auto Connected'.

 

Most of the time I forget to look @ my phone after starting it only to get a text message on the infotainment, that doesn't play when I press play...

 

When it works it works OK, I wish it was more consistent.

Is android 11 the latest available for your Pixel 4XL?

 

I don't use AA often, but it doesn't lock up when I do. 

Samsung S22,  with Android 14 

 

Might be time for a newer pixel
