Hello All,I just bought a 2020 Chevrolet Silverado LT.It only came with 1 key and 1 3 button key fob.It has a keyed ignition. I am trying to find the instructions to program a new transponder key,as well as the instructions to program a new key fob.

On my 17 silverado they cut a new key, with the old key I started the truck, turned the truck off and there was a short window to put the new key in and the truck learned it.
I would ask a locksmith before going to the stealership.

Method required depends on generation of truck.

In some cases it depends if it was built for Can or US.

2020 Owners manual has this information.

So I should follow the steps that says programming without recognized keys? Even tho I have 1 recognized key right?

Yes, if it was originally sold in the US.

I reads like if you have a truck originally sold in Canada, you need to see the dealer...

Ok so I got the key cut today.I had a question about the instructions? Do I start with my original key or the new cut key I made today?

I was able to program the new cut key today.I started with the new cut key then programed the original key.
