During our recent trip, I noticed that we developed static in the front speakers. I could see one speaker blowing but not both at the same time?

It doesn't seem to matter what we are listening to. If I fade all the way to the rear the static is gone but now I just have the rear speakers. I don't think this is the speakers but something else going on.

I recently installed a dashcam (Blackvue 900) but no to sure if this is the cause. Also used the Wifi sharing in the truck but have turned it off. It was working fine until recently.

Any suggestions on what to look at?

I had that issue develop on my 2024, and it ended up being a software update that corrected it.

I will try to get an update when I take it in for new fluids.

The update dal1980 is likely referring to was just for Bluetooth call static/crackling on trucks with the updated infotainment/interior (2024+ on HDs). If yours has static during other audio sources then it's likely something else, unfortunately.

We took the truck on a road trip and put about 4,000 kms on it. The front speakers would sound great and then for no reason, the blown speaker noise would happen. I would fade to the rear and the noise would go away. After restarting from a break, it would be fine again and then down the road the blown speaker noise would start up again. It took hour(s) for it to come back with the noise.

It sounds like a blown speaker that follows the bass. It urned the bass right off but it still does it. Almost like a sub woofer is torn and flapping around.

An update to this problem. It turned out that my front door Bose speakers were blown.

Today I popped off the door panel and pressed in the speaker cone and it was crunchy. It seems that if I push in one side it is crunchy and on the other side it is smooth. Just a poorly made speaker I guess but with the Bose name on it???

Put some JL Audio 6x9’s in place of these Bose crappers and the sound is clean now. Sort of weird that the problem would go away and come back mainly on longer trips which sucked.

So one more thing cleaned up on this truck. Eventually, I will change out the rest of the speakers.

Jl audio is much better than Bose. Bose are junk. They have been since the late 90’s when I was into car audio. Always been a laughing stock.
