Has anyone done anything with your rear pocket stakes, other than capping them?

I was looking for a tie-down option. Fabricated a front fork bike mount for hauling our mountain bikes on top of my tonneau when we go on vacation, but I am looking for a solution for a tiedown at the rear to secure the back end of the bikes. I've picked up a few basic ones at the local autoparts shop, but none of them fit; all I can find online are the Putco ones, and those are pricey....especially in the black.

Love to see some ideas of what others have used.

I use the BackRack rear bar (in combo with their headache rack) to carry ladders. Just drops in the stake pockets and tightens with 2 bolts through the holes that are already there, no drill installation and removes in like 2 minutes when not needed.

Not sure if it would work as a solution for your situation but might give a search path to go down. I don't remember the price, I'm sure it wasn't cheap, but perfect for my use case.

I use rear pockets as a handle when using corner step to get into the bed.

Do you have some of the moveable tie-down loops that can be installed where the plugs are on the inside walls of the box?

When they were introduced, GM was giving a box of 4 with every truck, so sometimes they show up for re-sale.

GM has them in accessories, about $100 for a set of four.

Look online. I bought two sets off of eBay, and they were legit GMC parts, for a fraction of that price and put them in every spot so I have six of them, plus the nine built in hooks in the corners. They get used all the time. The seller had them as "new old stock" from a closed warehouse and cautioned minor cosmetic flaws as a disclosure. In my experience, which is only one data point, he undersold and over delivered as they look great and still do 5 years later.
