Hey guys,

I’ve been looking into aftermarket head units for my GMC Sierra, and I came across this one: Carlinklife 14.4" Head Unit for 2014-2018 Silverado/Sierra. It looks pretty solid with CarPlay and Android Auto built-in, and it's priced at $699. But before pulling the trigger, I wanted to hear from others who’ve done a similar upgrade.

Has anyone here installed an aftermarket head unit like this? How was the installation, and how’s the performance? I’m mainly curious about how reliable these upgrades are long-term and if they integrate well with the truck's systems.

Any thoughts are appreciated!

I've been through three of these and third time was the charm, seriously.
Wireless Apple Car Play and Android Auto.
I only use Apple Car Play and all of the iOS 26 updates work great.
Also, I can use the AutoSync updates when I make changes.
It's been a few years and I'm happy with it.
Mine is the 14.4" screen but a newer 15.6" screen came out and, if I had the money, I'd pull the trigger on that.

They seem like the same product, but the price difference is a bit much. I'm leaning towards CarlinkLife, though. I contacted them directly, and they confirmed it's the same product. Plus, they offer a 30-day money-back guarantee and a 1-year warranty. Hoping everything goes well—wish me luck! Haha!

It does look the same. Please keep us posted after the install.
The link you posted has it at $1,000 and not $699 though, not a huge price difference from the link I posted.
I've been happy with the one I bought.

I've been eyeballing these head units for quite some time, but haven't pulled the trigger yet. I will be watching this thread.
