Did a search through the forum but couldn't find this.  Maybe I have misunderstood Chevy's documentation on the features or I'm just an idiot, but I assumed my truck has Wireless Android Auto, yet I can't seem to get it to work.

Background, I have a new (to me) 2022 Silverado 2500HD Custom, with the Custom Value Package, 5th Wheel package, and Safety Confidence Package.  Window sticker only mentions "wired Android Auto" which works.  But then I had been reading that trucks with the 7" screen can work wirelessly.  I tried the procedures in the manual, and theres no wireless AA.  Only offers AA when its plugged in.

I'm assuming i read something incorrectly, and wireless is not available on my truck.

My '21 has wireless. I recall reading that '21 was the first year that wireless was implemented, but on select trims or with one of the tech packages; presumably the one that includes the larger infotainment screen.

Is yours an LT LTZ?  Mine is a Custom, looking back art the order guide I must have misread, I have the 7 inch screen and it seems the 8 inch is required for Wireless....

I have tried 2 different wireless adapters from Amazon (I too have a 22 Custom model), and neither one worked.  I called customer support with both of them, nothing worked.  If you find the holy grail of adapters that actually work please let us all know.

Will do, I will likely order one soon.  I do have one in my Alfa Romeo from OTOTO but it doesn't seem to be available on Amazon anymore, it works great.  That said I would probably try something like this

https://www.amazon.com/Ottocast-Wireless-CarPlay-Android-Auto-Reconnect/dp/B0FQP1KRHP/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?crid=178OGRFGJQQEL&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.ZYsQJPlstYylA5BfrB3TB2SsM1quFkspZRAutVHCYJtsSKQ-oIU9Kh5zWzeQWvTqVg7t7AvAl_qXGhEt2ToWPVR362UPRzzsxfr7PqIO9SqJJp6jgGgLqF5LpNoOhYs2fngelPqqIJaQ5cfBWGSgHZa0ge3Mg6vDb9C2U2ZwWdH9pm4kn99sMnSD4zaHCXfKfWmwUVG2v_61dfsVVFyuxDEZezJWW1L0iOR0kkmnRug.mO_AmfuWPg6_sgvFTU9dsXskowqRXpmMOAhveJJJdOs&dib_tag=se&keywords=wireless%2Bandroid%2Bauto%2Badapter&qid=1766405932&sprefix=wireless%2Ban%2Caps%2C303&sr=8-1-spons&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9hdGY&th=1

Because of the fact I only have the USB port in the dash so I'd rather not have a wired device hanging off it

I just looked back on my past orders on Amazon and believe it or not I tried that one.  Didn't work for me.  It says no longer available but it didn't work on my truck.  Another reason I gave up on this is because my phone won't be charging using a wireless adapter.  I'm sure the higher model trucks have wireless charging and connectivity but unfortunately my much loved Custom model does not.

    • Did you even read this article?   Even the title of the article says "U.S.-Iran Deal Doesn’t Mean a Swift Return of Oil and Gas Flows"   Remember, crude oil prices are based on FUTURE purchases by the oil companies.  Gas prices are based on FUTURE purchases by the station.  This article stated that many of the oil producing nations have to restart their processes to get the oil produced.  Then the oil has to be shipped to wherever.  And it doesn't get there overnight.  And most of that oil is not coming here. Check out this site:  https://afdc.energy.gov/data/10621   A graph will pop up to show where the US imports their oil from.  Notice that there isn't a lot of import from OPEC and Iraq.  Most of the US import comes from Canada. The US oil produces are selling their oil on the open market, which is why the US fuel costs went up.  So you're correct, the US oil companies are going to slow walk the price downward.

    • I just purchased a 2004 Tahoe with 148,******. I used to have a 2006 Suburban that had the push button Auto 4X, 2Hi, 4Hi and 4Lo. When checking out this truck I noticed it had push button but didn’t focus on it. After the purchase when driving home, this is when I noticed it was different and after a little research found out it has the AWD stabilitrak system. I don’t live in an area that requires AWD. I bought the truck to start a new adventure in life with off roading, now that the kids are all grown up. I purchased the truck knowing it didn’t have the G80 rearend but plan on re-gearing to drive on 33s or 35s and upgrade with a rear locker and still be able to tow when needed. Blah Blah Blah Anyway I know am thinking about converting the stabilitrak  to Z71. I know I will have to replace the transfer case. So now the information gathering stage is happening to see if it is worth it. Is the front AWD stabilitrak differential different when compared to a non-AWD front diff? Will I need a completely different front differential or can it be converted? What else should I be considering? I did see something in a video for GMT900 platform with removing the ABS fuse that disables the stabilitrak and turns the truck into a 2 wheel drive. Would that work in the GMT800 platform?
