On my Silverado, one of the big pluses was that the sensors are internal and not visible. I can then just look on the DIC to see the pressure of each tire when I want and don't need a separate receiver or app to do it. One thing that I find lacking that I see on yours is that it also shows the temperature as well. I wish the OEM style sensors offered that information. 

Think the temp info is probably vehicle specific. You just put these on the valve stems, put your truck into learn mode, then walk around the truck with the GM specific tool in the picture (comes with kit, and I already had one), touch each sensor until the horn honks, on to the next one, when you are done with all 4 you get the double honk. TPMS light goes off on dash, pressure shows up again in the DIC, and even shows on the OnStar app.

Well it's almost a done deal. I'm at Discount Tire having the new Shrader TPMS sensors that got delivered earlier today installed. I'm also having the balance checked on each wheel with their road force balance machine. The TPMS install is $25 a tire and balancing is no cost. Had the weather been a little more decent, I might have attempted the tpms swap myself but it's just way too cold to attempt. I should now be good for several more years.
