Just wondering if anyone has done this...before I try it.

My '23 High Country has been encased in ice for about a week now.  Hood, doors frozen shut.  Worried about the battery running down.

Anyone try a hooking a battery maintainer to the 7 pin trailer connector to keep the battery up?

Ground on the connector goes to frame ground.  +12 goes to the battery B+ through a 30 amp fuse.

Battery Maintainer only supplies an amp or two.

Should work.  What am I missing?

That should work, but I wouldn't worry about the truck not starting after only a week. I have a Corvette and a CT5 that sit for a month without a charge and fire right up. I do put a trickle charger on the Corvette on occasion.

Thanks to both!  I am going to try and start it today and move it into the sun for defrosting.

Truck started right up after a week in the ice.  No problem.  Finally found a use for remote start on the FOB.
