Skeeeeeeeeeeeter Posted February 17 Posted February 17 Doesn't disable it just remembers to start with it off. Works well. Easy install. 1
AlanK Posted February 19 Posted February 19 Details? where does it install? Also, my '23 has a disable button on the dash. Button works fine. Always off. Does the '26 not have this button?

Does the '26 not have this button? Link to the product and install video, USUALLY it seems that you have to push the button to the off position each time you start the vehicle. This eliminates that annoyance.https://www.autostopeliminator.com/products/2019-silverado-autostop-eliminator
Atlas Posted February 19 Posted February 19 I've used devices made by this company in other vehicles and it works just fine. True to the description, it effectively retains the last setting of the auto stop/start switch. In my vehicles that is OFF. That way, I never have to remember to turn it off. The thing I don't like about the T1 trucks is a lot of trim and dash have to be removed in order to plug the module in. I'm always worried I'm going to break trim pieces or clips so I haven't done it in my truck yet. 1
Bill Fraley Posted February 20 Posted February 20 I used one that installs at the BCM. No panels to remove and so far has worked flawlessly.
AlanK Posted February 20 Posted February 20 I watched the video. Cool. For now my '23 remembers the previous setting which is "off". Side note, I also hate pulling body panels apart to install things. I always seems to break a tab or two.
NavyVette Posted February 22 Posted February 22 (edited) If your '23 is off when you start the truck then someone else must have installed the auto-stop eliminator, or you got lucky and got a broken system Edited February 22 by NavyVette

I found (through trial and error. ) that using 2 trim removal tools in tandem can alleviate the broken clips most of the time, I use one to get things started and leave it in place after pushing it in pretty far and then work the other around as each clip pops out. 1
AlanK Posted February 22 Posted February 22 I did buy the '23 used so maybe previous owner did install an eliminator. I am happy they did! Everything else seems to work just fine. 2
