JXM Posted March 1 Posted March 1 Has anyone found a decent way to cover up the chrome around the windows? I see some kits on ebay but would like to hear first hand experienc. TIA
GETGONE Posted March 2 Posted March 2 I haven't been able to find the GM part numbers for the Denali or High Country trims that have the gloss black trim from the factory. I did see a kit on ebay that appeared to be a metal formed and stick on. The panels between the two doors are all plastic. I bought one that said it was black steel and I received it and it arrived as plastic. I was not happy.
JXM Posted March 6 Author Posted March 6 Did you attempt to install it or just ship it back? All of the ones appear to be the same kit unfortunately....
GETGONE Posted March 6 Posted March 6 The plastic "steel" ones I finally got the seller to refund me my money. They weren't happy but it was all of $14 shipped.
JXM Posted March 13 Author Posted March 13 The ones i am seeing on ebay are 180+!! There appears to be two different listings from numerous sellers, they all say black steel.
GETGONE Posted March 13 Posted March 13 This is the only full outer trim covers I've seen in black: https://www.ebay.com/itm/397248020680 This is the crap I bought saying it was black stainless but the pictures in the listing I bought didn't show them flexing like this one so you KNOW they are plastic. https://ebay.us/m/xwjmbK
Ezekiel2517 Posted March 14 Posted March 14 I used black vynil. Been on for 5 years now and looks great. Super cheap
GETGONE Posted March 14 Posted March 14 I have a Custom trim so I just have black rubber. I want to add the gloss black metal trim like the factory high trims. People with the chrome factory trim have done either vinyl or peel coat stuff.
