Has anyone successfully ordered a 2026 3500HD?

I went to local dealership on 01/20/2026 in Greenville SC and ordered a 3500HD which I built on Chevy website. There is this weekly allocation system where it seems like a lottery. Checked around other dealerships nobody can seem to get allocation. If anyone hears of a dealership with an allocation for 3500HD please let me know.

Did you order a gas or diesel?  There was a big engine constraint that was alternating between gas and diesel over the last couple months.

Yeah, I would expect your dealers to get some allocations, it sounds like whoever you ordered your truck through just chose to use their allocation for other orders.

 

You might spend some time searching to see if someone has the truck with your options in stock?  Otherwise, you probably just have to actually order it through a dealer and wait for them to use their allocation on your order (which can take some time, depending on how much of a deal you try to get on the truck, and how scummy of a dealer they are).

I ordered a gas hd3500 April 3rd and it was picked up on the 14th to be built the second week of may. Salesman was upfront about allocations and that there were none ahead of me waiting. Just need to find someone honest about that, so good luck there!

Update on 3500 HD ordered on 1/20/2026. Finally hitting production line week of June 1st "subject to change". Seems like the big issue was getting allocation for Double Cab. Maybe I will take delivery before July. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Picked up gas crew 3500 on may 28th ordered on April 3rd. There was no constraints on my order.

I thought i read on GM Authority that they were going to discontinue the Double cabs in the next year or two. Not enough demand.
