2027 3.0l - ordered

Figured I'd at least get this section going. I'll be trading a 2025 GMC Sierra 1500 3.0l in on a GMC Yukon with the 3.0l Duramax.

What made you want to trade up your '25? with the 3.0 for a new one? (As I look suspiciously at mine...)

There are no "new model" for the SUV's in 2027, correct?

A couple of reasons. The Yukon I ordered will have the air suspension that will have an entry/exit setting (lowers) to help my wife. The other? I did have some warranty issues with the Sierra that ticked me off but it's moving 2 model years which is normal for me.

As far as I know, it's a carry over. Not sure why this forum started this section. I just noticed it yesterday but it might have been here a while.

Maybe they just because there are new gassers (which the Yukon isn't getting) they decided to give the 3.0l it's own section.

I think this subforum was created for the new generation pickup trucks (2027-) with the 3.0 but I don't think it's a big deal either way. There are probably 2027 model-year specific changes for the SUV's too.

I was just curious if you had issues with your 2025 3.0. I'm still under 10k miles on mine and fingers crossed I don't have thrust bearing issues. I'm guessing not, since you're willing to buy another one! It's a good engine minus one or two manufacturing whoopsies.

Kind of off topic, wife drives a 2023 Yukon Denali with the 3.0, been a great rig so far, incredible fuel economy for a truck that big and heavy. Coming up on 50000 trouble free miles.

I had a new engine installed with under 5,000 miles. It shut off coming around a residential street corner and wouldn't restart. Dealer indicated it seized. New one has been fine since with 10,000 miles on the replaced engine. Annoying but I was given a loaner for the 5 weeks it was down. I won't go with the 6.2l gasser so it's 3.0l again. I love the economy and it tows my enclosed car trailer just fine.
