My service guy said "it's no big deal, just a sensor problem" What would need service? This appeared after we got our '04 Denali back from having the muffler replaced because of bad baffles causing a rattling noise.

It means that the Automatic Pilot inflation device is not working properly so check your air pump.

J/k Crawl under the vehicle and check for any loose or unplugged wires

Or the shock sensor/cable/etc was knocked loose.

Or the shock is bad...my dad's Caddy had display and turned out the computer controled shocks were bad. $700/each for replacements, but not computer controled, as the computer controlled were discontinued.

Hope it's just shock control harness or air compressor connector.

You will need to get the codes read. There are only about 100 monitored components in that system, or so. - You may be able to find an unplugged wire, but ny guess is something else.

There is a TSB out for the Denalis and the Escalades explaining a possible cause, and I think it only involves reprogramming (don't quote me on that)

I have had a couple brand new Denalis in my bay with the same concern, and both ended up being the right front position level sensor bad. But, the one Escalade I've diagnosed was an internal EBCM problem. ($$$)

Check codes and let us know.

Thanks for the replys, I figured it probably was a bad sensor. It is still under warranty so I'll just go ahead and take it in to service. It's too complicated for me to even look at. I'll ask the service writer about the codes and see if they replace any parts.

Well most probably something was either not reassembled properly or they knocked off/broke a sensor connector when they did the muffler/exhaust work ... so look near that area ... I've had things like this happen numerous times when having exhaust system work done.

Got the Denali bace from service yesterday. The problem turned out to be a broken sensor "link" (whatever that is). It was probably damaged when they did the muffler work I had done prior. No computer codes were involved that I know of.
