Elwood 2000 Posted April 4, 2004 Posted April 4, 2004 I am looking at off road lights. I want something that will light the way very well. Mainly for dark country roads without other trafic or in fields. Been looking at Hella and like a few. I am wanting something between a pencil beam and a flood. Maybe like this "Euro-beam"?? What do you have and do you like them?
3BAV Posted April 4, 2004 Posted April 4, 2004 I have two hella lights right now in my bumper. They light the way up pretty well. I'm planning to put the fog beams in the bumper and put 4 driving beams across the front middle of the grill. Should really light things up. It is hard to beat the price of the Hella lights also. Probably the cheapest ones available that is a brand name. Jon
tmf6902 Posted April 4, 2004 Posted April 4, 2004 I have always like the KC daylighters....I think they're 150 watts. They light the hell out of the road....and they're great for the slowpokes in the left lane
99silveradoz71 Posted April 4, 2004 Posted April 4, 2004 I have Hella 550's on my guard and they do a nice job on dark roads with no other traffic.
Elwood 2000 Posted April 5, 2004 Author Posted April 5, 2004 Just bought a set of Hella Black Magic lights, new in the box with the guards for $150! Not bad. I did a little research on the net and I hope they are what I am hoping they will be. Thanks for the replies !!!
GF7PE Posted April 5, 2004 Posted April 5, 2004 Im a big KC fan!! cant beat that warranty!! daygihters work extremely well
bwoods1115 Posted April 5, 2004 Posted April 5, 2004 I myself am a KC Daylighter fan. When I was researching lights and what not for my truck I looked at some WARN lights. They're extremely powerful, but expensive as hell. I think your best bang for a buck would be the KC Daylighters and like GF7PE said "you can't beat the warranty."
AZ-Z71 Posted April 6, 2004 Posted April 6, 2004 How do you all have them wired? Where did you put the dash switch? Upgraded alternator or extra battery?
