Scared myself for nothing

I was coming home after an 18 hr day and my left lips got numb, then below my lips went numb. Knew it wasn't right so when I got home, 11:30 pm, I told my wife to take me to emergency. Sat there for 2-1/2 hours before they took me, by then all the numbness went away and I was ready to just leave, but figured what the hay and stayed. Anyway they did a Cat scan, EKG and then admitted me. Next day they did a MRI, and an ultrasound on my heart. Could have gone home that afternoon but they screwed up and did't have an ultrasound done on the arteries in my neck. They did that the next morning and then told me they did't find anything. Could have been a tooth or when I was working twisting my neck in an odd position pinched a nerve. Anyway nothing is wrong, but I would have done it the same way again. I know too many people who ignore little signs until it is too late and end up with a stroke or heart attack. So if you feel something isn't right better safe than sorry.

I think that probably would have scared me enough to go the the hospital. Better to be there if something is going to happen then in the middle of nowhere.

Scary stuff there, MIke. Glad it was nothing. 18 hr day? Ouch! That's a long shift, no wonder you were feeling bad.

thanks for the thoughts guys. I won't have to pay for the emergency, insurance takes care of that. Yea need to cut back on some hours, but the big side job I was doing is almost over. I'd rather do lots of little ones.
