It comes back: "POS".

 

 

Kidding...doing the quickie (free) search it comes back with 9 entries. That's quite a few for a 97 Ranger...That's based on my in-depth knowledge of the ins-and-outs of the Carfax business model, and procedural loopholes.

 

It only has the 2.3?

I need a cheap truck, and I think this is a good one. It would be very very nice to drive something that gets 26+ MPG. Keep in mind that the 9 entries could be when it was first titled and then whether it passed or failed the emissions test. Hopefully someone has CarFax and can do a full report.

Why can't you go to carfax.com and do it yourself?

Because I don't have a credit card and if someone has unlimited checks, they might be able to run the VIN on the truck.

Because Carfax costs money.

 

If somebody has paid for "unlimited searches", they can punch his number in for him.

 

What I did was the free search, which only tells you that there are entries. It will not tell you what the entries are without paying....But he already knew that, and most likely had already done the search. I was just mudslinging.
