Looking to buy a complete(headers back) performance system for my 88 K1500 longbed. Having trouble finding any for a truck this old. Any help would be great. THANKS

I don't think you're going to find a complete kit, I know Flowmaster has a cat-back for 88-92? chevy's, in the American Thunder and Force II systems. As for headers, is depends on how much you're willing to spend and if you want long tubes or shorties. I haven't yet found a set of long tubes for the OBS chevys from those years, or any yr from those trucks at all, but I imiagine they're out there. Dopes your state require you to trun cats? Even if they don't, I'd still reccomend you run a pair or even one Hi Flo cat at least, depending on if you go true dual or single in dual out.

Mufflers are a totally different story. It's all about preference, and everyone's different. I'm one of the pickiest dam people there are when it comes to choosing the right sounding exhaust for any car. But just take the time, find something you seem to take a lking to, and we'll be here to help ya out

Must run a single converter on this truck. I like the sound of the three chamber Flowmaster. Would like to install a high pro. cat. also. Will be adding Thorleys later. Have them on my 78 Blazer. Can't get any easier to install than Thorleys. IMHO. THANKS

 Well, I bit the bullet today and had the Flowmaster Catback system installed. Install went well. :chevy: Sounds great  BUT on the down side, I seem to have lost some of my low end torque. Don't know about MPG yet. Thanks for all of your suggestions. :)
