High Performance brake pads

Has anyone installed high performance brake pads such as those from Hawk or Performance Friction Brakes? Is it worth the extra money? I plan on retaining (turning) my original rotors.

I have had several sets of Hawk street pads, they work very well. I must say that the stock pads (Ceramic) on my Escalade are very good, no noise, no dust and after 15,000 miles they look new. :rolleyes: I had two sets of Performance Friction, they stopped very well, but they did not last that long for me.
