Hour Meter?

I thought that my truck didn't have an hour meter but I read  on a post here how to check it, the owners manual didn't make any sense.  My truck has 290 hours on it, and 23,000 miles it works out to be an average of 38 miles per hour.  I was just wanting to see how this works out to what some of you have on your trucks.

I made a mistake my truck now has 713 hours.  I have started recording the hours when I fill up.

Not a bad idea Jim. I wonder how accurate the hour meter actually is. Hours per gallon would be more accurate than MPG. I have to check mine tomorrow, if I remember.

Just doing some reading and thought I would bring this post back to the top. So how many hours does every have? Now that this post is over 5 years old. :shakehead:

Since someone else found this old post I'll update my poor old ride she now has 122,616 miles on her with 3,553.6 hours as of yesterday when I filled up again.

Which looks like I average about 34.5 miles per hour.
