Rear Diff Question (Yukon/Tahoe)

Hey folks-

 

I'm getting to the point of servicing the rear diff on my truck. However, looking at the suspension under there.....

 

Can the rear diff cover be removed with the cross pieces of the suspension right behind it? It seems that the cover would hit the those crossing suspension pieces (or the diff internals) when it is removed.

 

Just curious on what others have found out on their trucks before I get into this. Of course the service manual doesn't give any special notices or anything.

 

While the diff looks like the one shown in the following link (Diff Fluid Page), there is a bunch of stuff just to the rear that may get in the way of actually letting me just slide the cover down.

 

Any help/hints are appreciated-

Or telling me I'm all wet and there is not any thing to worry about is good to-
