Need to get Steering Clunck fixed have ??

I am taking my truck in today to have the steering wheel clunk fixed, aslo to have the dealership change oil and rotate tires, there is some plastic moulding that has fallen off that I want replaced as well. Will they give me a loaner for the time it takes to do this SB warranty work, if they are reluctant what is the best way to "persude them?"

Sorry for the stupid question this is my first NEW Truck ever.

Thanks

they are only required to give out a rental if they keep it over 24 hours i beleive. Many dealerships have "demo" cars to let you drive if they think you are worth it.

Most of the dealers in my area will give you a loaner if the service requires a full day. I had my windshied resealed and I got a loaner for the afternoon. Ask the service rep for a loaner before you take it in - some are cool and some could care less about customer service.

You might also try clutching your side and moaning in pain. Then, quietly mention about how you hope to get to the hospital in time for your scheduled surgery.

If they ask if you are allright, softly reply (while gasping for breath) that it would help an awful lot if they would be so kind as to allow you to drive the shiny new Corvette demo over there and back.

Perhaps next you can drop a subtle hint that you "don't have much time left" and always had hopes of driving a 'Vette just once before you kick off. Rub some lemon juice on the back of your hand before you leave the house, then rub the back of your hand across your eyes while you're talking to them, so as to get tears to form. Chances are, pretty soon they'll get to feeling really sorry for you, and hand over the keys to the dream machine.

Then head for the open road ! :seeya: ! ! !

Onion powder works better, you can't smell it as far away, AND it makes your nose run to boot! BONUS! :seeya:

Thanks Guys, I guessed I missed my window of opportunity. But I will have to remember the lemon juice thing, that could even come in handy with my wife!

You guys kill me!
