I reacently moved to england and we have 2 dogs that had to be quarantined for 6 months. We had 2 dogs in english quarantine before (I was a baby) and had to stay in a cage for 6 months!!! You were allowed visits but still.... The changed the law where the dogs can be quarantined in approved countries and no cages! They just have to have a chip, and rabies vac. and then be titored for 6 months. We started quarantine in the US and then they went up to canada to stay with my grandparents and there coming over June 30th!

Cody is older one, and CJ (cody jr). They are uncle and nefew.

Those are some magnificent beasts!

How are their temperaments? Do they get along well with each other?

I feel for you being away from your buddies for so long and I am glad to hear they will be hanging out with you again soon.

I always thought that 6 month quarrantine wasn't the best way to do that. There are ways that are less stressful on both the dog and people (as well as cheaper) that accomplish the samething. Years ago my sister moved to Hawaii for awhile and her dog was in quarrantine for 6 months (now it is 1 month) and it turned that dog white from the stress. Myself I don't think I could put Homer J. in it for that long, so anyplace that required it would be off limits for me.

I bet you will be glad to get your buddies back.

They have awsome temperments. Although the older one, cody, is 10 years old and is major Alpha and he can be grumpy if you come too close to stepping on his tail. And the younger one is "wild man" with a very high drive and is really trying to become alpha but its not working :chevy: . They are very smart dogs and if you dont keep them occupied they get them selves into trouble :banghead: . My mom does agility with them and here very successful at it. Cody is retired now...

The pics are from my grandparents house in calgary so you can see there "quarantine" is not bad at all. Also that little wired hair fox terrior (grandparents dog) thinks he is a much bigger dog than he is :D
