Well, I just tried the Seafoam. It made it idle smoother at higher RPM's, but will now barely run at idle. It smoked like the Seafoam instructions said it would, but now it will not idle stopped and in gear. I will try and blow the rest of the Seafoam out tomorrow. If I pull the valve covers on both heads, will all the rockers move if I sucked a valve? Or is there any visible sign to come to that conclusion? Thanks, James

Sounds to me like it's running too good for you to have sucked a valve. If that's happened, you will see a loose valve spring and retainers lying around under your valve cover. Sometimes, the valve doesn't fall all the way into the combustion chamber (due to deposits on the stem). Other times, the valve falls inside and the piston beats the livin' crap out of itself, the valve, and the cylinder.

Are you sure you don't have a vacuum leak? A badly burned valve? Do a compression test.

If you have a Dead valve, you should hear some poping in the exhaust, and it will run pretty rough. Your problem sounds more like a vac. or fuel issue.

More than that I would not want to run to begin with if it stuck a valve because even if it lodged in the piston, there would be a open path at times between hot exhaust gases and intake and could backfire at the least thru intake. Why did you use the foam to begin with? I am not a fan of that stuff at all.

do a compression test and put some air in the cylinder if it goes out the exaust your valve is no good

No good if it goes out intake either. There will be some leakage but you are loking for a major leak here.
