Locking rear diff option

I have an 03 GMC HD Crew DMax/Allison SLT loaded to the gills, except for one thing. LOCKING REAR DIFF! If I am on a small bind I have to shift into 4WD or I am stuck. I previously owned a 99 Silverado equiped with it. It was awesome. As soon as the spinning tire hit about 100 RPM's it locked up. GM definately has a good option in the locking rear. Is there any way I could get that option installed on my Sierra without having to change the whole rear end. If not, which is my best route and best price on a auto locking or limited slip rear end. I am tired of this easiest wheel spinning crap. If I did not have 4WD, I would probably be stuck once a week.

If you haven't changed tires yet, do so. I have a 2500HD with a locker and it spins out so easy in sand it is sickening. This is with stock tires. I get stuck with a locker where my buddy has an open rear end and BFG's and he gets right through. These trucks have so much power and a light rear end that tire slippage happens alot with stock tires.

Just a suggestion that could save you a few bucks. The only other thing is trade it in on a late model '04 and try to swing a deal.
