'01 Silverado Stereo "Aux" feature

Has anyone looked at the back of the factory AM/FM CD stereo that comes with an LS?

Even though I do not have a tape player (40/20/40 seat) I still have the "Aux" button.

I would like to hook an MP3 player to the "Aux" setting.

Is there a seperate Aux input on the rear of the stereo? If not, what about the wiring harness?

I think you might have to buy a special harness, and even then the stereo might not be able to control it.  I think only GM stuff will work.  Ive also heard that if you want to upgrade the stereos, you need a whole new head unit.
