AV Yellow Fog Lamps?

Recommended Posts

OK, the amber DRLs are on my list, but are there yellow replacement fog lamp bulbs?  Years ago, most all fogs were yellow to cut the reflection, but I don't see that much anymore.  Anyone know why?

Yeah, I've noticed that too--they should starting calling 'em NRLs instead of fog-lamps.  I haven't used the Av "fog lamps" in true fog yet, but they do help (being white) in the rain.

My Nissan 240 has true fog-lamps which, at 35W (I think), don't sound too bright, but do real good in actual fog.  We've had thick fog a couple times and it's been nice to have coming home late from visiting friends all day.

I'd be interested in some true yellow fog lights for the Av; either replace the bulb on the stock lamps or add new ones altogether.  Maybe JP will build us a new kit. :(  Actually, my Av already has the button that says "Fog lamps", but as you know, they're the white "nighttime" ones.  We need a new button that says "Real Fog lamps"! LOL!

Or better yet, too bad there isn't a two-way bulb that could do both in the stock lamp housing.  That would be trick!  But don't know how it would work--electrically not feasible likely.

I second Gandolphxx's comments.  That is exactly what I'm looking for.  The ability to put the rear lights on by themselves, have them go on automatically when in reverse and have the option of shutting them off altogether.

Hey Jason, if you come up with that kit and a factory button, I'd buy it in a heartbeat!  As it is, I'm waiting to see what your parking sensor kit will be like and cost and am on the brink of buying the steering wheel kit.  Hat's off to you! :(
