Green Key settings

I just ordered a set of green keys for my 02 1500 HD. I am going to put on 285/75/16 tires. Will just installing the green keys give me enough lift to clear the tires or will I have to crank on them to get enough. If any of you are running green keys and 285/75's what are your settings. I am looking for just enough lift to clear the tires. I am also thinking of swapping shocks. I have looked for long travle shocks but can't seem to find any. I have run Pro Comp shocks in the past and was fairly happy with them. Any suggestion on what shock to run? If you have long travel shocks could you let me know the brand and part number? Thanks.

I put a set of ProComps on my truck a few months ago (made a world of difference). They said "for 0-3 inches of lift". Extending the ProComp, and the factory shocks side-by-side showed me that they actually only gave me about 3/4" extra length for downtravel. But like I said...That extra 3/4 inch made a world of difference.

I don't have the part numbers with me (I'm at work) but I'll try to dig them up when I get home. :lurk:

Thanks for the shock input. I will check out the Pro Comps again. I have had 9000's before and loved them. I am looking at the Rancho RSX 9000 right now. I found a site the other day that was running a special. If you buy 4 shocks you get the remote adjuster for free.

Now part two of the question.... For those of you running 285's how much did you have to crank your TB's or is just installing the green key good enough. Did you have to trim the front air dam at all. THanks for the input.

If your truck is 4x4 you don't need to do anything, they'll run. If you need to you can just adjust your torsion bars using the existing keys, you'll get about 1.5-2" out of em.
